Learning & Development for Team Members
Take your enthusiasm and add our development, and you can expect to go very far
with us. Team Members will be fully trained for their specific roles, whether you’re
baking for Upper Crust or barista-ing for Caffè Ritazza.
All of our brands provide training to the highest standard – last year one of our
team members came second in a global competition to find the world’s best barista.
But many of the skills you learn here will be a great help, even beyond your career
with us; whether they’re Health & Safety Certificates, Food Hygiene Qualifications,
First Aid Training or an NVQ qualification.
We encourage all Team Members to develop their skills fully, and nothing makes us
happier than to see a Team Member become a fully-fledged Manager. To help you do
this, we’ve introduced The Pathfinder Programme for Supervisory Team Members. Here
you can learn important core skills such as planning and organising shifts, and
developing financial awareness.
Support for Support Services
We also offer extensive opportunities to our Support Team to encourage ongoing learning
and development. Depending on your specialisation, this could take the form of assistance
getting a computer diploma, studying for ACCA accreditation with our Finance department,
or receiving HR assistance in pursuing your CIPD.
